The Wilbye is the only Georgian style summerhouse that we make with glass down to ground level giving. The Wilbye features a pair of fully lockable, mortice & tenon Doors with antique hinges & handle, a fixed Wilbye window either side of the doors & a fully opening window in each side. The Wilbye comes with a 15” roof canopy as standard, but a 2’, 3’ or 4’ Balcony can be added as an optional extra. This garden building is constructed from tongue & groove shiplap on the four walls & tongued & grooved matching on most floors & roofs (Heavy duty V313 Caberboard floors come as standard on any buildings 8’x8’ or larger). The building comes with pressure treated bearers on the floor & toughened glass fitted as standard & is externally treated with a spirit based preservative.

The Wilbye is another Georgian style Summerhouse but this time with full height glazing on the front & deeper side windows.
FLOOR
Buildings under 8ft in both depth and width will come with (Ex 15mm) 12mm finished tongue & groove matching fixed to 47mm x 47mm pressure treated floor joists. Buildings over 8ft in both depth and width are supplied Heavy duty V313 Caber board flooring instead of matching.
ROOF
All buildings have the choice of a pent style roof, and apex front roof or an apex side roof. All buildings come with 15mm finished tongue & groove matching on 47mm x 47mm & 47mm x 22mm roof bearers, although some larger buildings will have these bearers upgraded where necessary. There is a 0.38m (15”) roof canopy over the front of the building as standard on
the Wilbye. A Heavy Duty Polyester based roofing felt is used as standard on all buildings. On all of our buildings there is a ventilation gap along the back of the roof.
WALLS
All buildings have (Ex15mm) 12mm finished tongue & groove Scandinavian Redwood shiplap fixed to 47mm x 47mm & 47mm x 22mm finished framework. All of our buildings are made from wood from sustainable sources.
DOORS
The Wilbye has a pair of doors 0.6m (24”) wide by 1.76m (70”) tall that have 10 panes of toughened glass in each door. The doors open to give a 1.2m (4’) opening. They are hung on black antique style hinges and they come with a 5 lever lock & black antique style handle.
WINDOWS
The Wilbye has fixed windows alongside the doors in the front & an opening sash in each side panel. The amount of windows depends upon the size of the building, a guide for this can be found on page 35. All the glass that we use is 3mm toughened for safety.
HEIGHTS
The Pent Wilbye has a generous internal eaves height of 1.82m (6’) rising to an internal ridge height of 2.06m (81”).

The buildings complies with the 2.5m maximum height restriction imposed when erecting a building under Permitted Development.
TREATMENT
Our buildings are treated both internally & externally with a spirit based preservative. We do recommend that buildings are retreated within 3 months, unless painted for continuous protection.
